Searchles, the DC-based developer of a social search platform, said that it has landed a new round of angel funding to increase its total backing to nearly $2 million. The financing follows Searchles' launch of a new platform for online media companies, designed to analyze the content consumed by site users and connect them to other users with similar interests. &amp;quot; As proposed partnerships with a few major media properties move forward, this additional funding will help us in keeping pace with demand,&amp;quot; said Elias Shams, the company's CEO. The technology behind Searchles is an evolution of the search engine Dumbfind, developed by company founder and CTO Chris Seline. </content>
