According to data from comScore, mobile maps are growing increasingly popular in the U.S. and Europe, with 8% of U.S. mobile subscribers and 3% of those in Europe accessing maps from their mobile phone in the three months ending in May. This represents a growth rate of 82% in the U.S. and 49% in Europe compared with a year ago. In comparison, growth for map use online is more modest.        </content>

At its annual meeting with investors yesterday, Microsoft announced that it has expanded its existing advertising agreement with Facebook. Microsoft will provide Web search and search advertising in addition to its current agreement that involves running graphical display ads on Facebook pages. The new deal &#8211; limited to Facebook&#8217;s U.S. pages &#8211; builds on the deal in which Microsoft invested $240 million in Facebook last October for a 1.6% stake.

The platform, powered by www.worldnow.com, will give stations the ability to create personalized branded video players that can feature music videos, artist interviews, live concerts, breaking news and original programming. The platform debuted Wednesday for four CBS Radio stations in New York: WWFS-FM, WCBS-AM, WXRK-FM and WFAN-AM.
