CBS Radio has announced the launch of a new video platform for its 140 radio station Web sites. The platform, powered by www.worldnow.com, will give stations the ability to create personalized branded video players that can feature music videos, artist interviews, live concerts, breaking news and original programming. The platform debuted Wednesday for four CBS Radio stations in New York: WWFS-FM, WCBS-AM, WXRK-FM and WFAN-AM. The new service creates new advertising and sponsorship opportunities, including branded players, content and in-video advertising.        </content>

Last week, those tests moved from the lab into the field. The Washington Post documented some of that testing &#8211; both in print and on video &#8211; which is a critical part of a high-stakes effort by tech firms and telecoms to unlock more bandwidth for cities and high-speed starved rural areas.        </content>

Producer Lorne Michaels said he wants new host Jimmy Fallon (&#8220;Saturday Night Live&#8221;) to work out rough spots in his presentation in advance of the show&#8217;s launch next year when Fallon replaces Conan O&#8217;Brien in the broadcast spot.
