  • Personally - I have no interest in this. I've had a few text ads come over my phone prior and called verizon about it and bitched to no end.
    • I totally agree, i do not want ads on my phone, unless I was able to do it like Email and get the ad from a company I selected, either for information or entertainment. I think this brings up for the advertiser... how do you do it "right" on a mobile device and not have a negative impact which could well happen.
    • Also, another thought: from the article, "the study was one of the first where consumers indicated they were interested in advertising on their mobile phones, albeit in exchange for free mobile content." It dawned on me that perhaps skype could take advantage of this? Or am I thinking up the wrong wave-length?
      • I'm not the right person to ask - I have resisted getting a blackberry or other such all in one. Sometimes it's absolutely worth it to pay for a service in exchange for no advertising or advertising that is not over the top obnoxious.
        • i resisted a cell forever. Ahhh the untethered frem of no-one being able to find me while I was perhaps daydreaming a good daydream.... now, mostly redundant messages, but it has come in handy for business and family. I finally went for the blackberry, it has been good, the seemlessness.
