  • I think you meant 802.20 WiMax for the mobile. Regardless, 802.20 or 802.16e, MS has a long way to go. Unfortunately, WiMax has been a hype for past 3 years or so. So, MS has to wait till such hype is the reality.
  • Anyway, good article! would you associate your links to a group or groups on searchles so I can track it? I also think you will receive more traffic on it once posted under a group - as long as it is a related group. If you can't find the right group for your postings, you can create your own. Just FYI. Thanks
    • Ah yes, just figured that whole groups thing out. Who is to say WiMax isn't 4G? I agree this is conjecture and probable hype...but very sexii!
      • I think phassan says the mobile version of WiMax is called 802.20 not 802.16e. Not sure though. If the mobile operators can get WiMax works for their infrustructure, it will be saving them shit load money. You can support more subscribers with much less money using Wimax (802.20). The challenges are 1) IF they can get it to work 2) even if it works, can the US carriers work together on this. HELL NO!!!!!
      • There is another group on searchles called "mobileTech"
  • I agree with phassan. Wimax has been a hype. It is catching up though. As for the grouping, this is a group on searchles called Wireless. so, why, don't you post it there. Great article!
  • Ah! I just saw the group you picked jkleinpeter. You are fast! Please, keep on posting anything related to VoIP, IPTV, Wireless or 3G wireless on this site. There are tons of great stuff being posted here under these groups. Does anyone know whether CrunchGear covers IPTV or Not?
    • CrunchGear covers everything tech and gadget. IPTV being one of those. http://crunchgear.com/?s=iptv Not sure of many exclusive IPTV sites other than http://www.iptv-news.com/
      • Josh - I am a member of IPTV group on searchles. I appreciate you kindly post your IPTV stuff in there. I get a notification as a user post something in my group. I have visited TechCrunch once in while, but never saw IPTV related stuff in there. Thanks for the info.
