My father, Zhiwen Wang has been illegally detained since July 20th, 1999 because he is a Falun Gong Practitioner. Falun Gong emphasis being a good person by following Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and practicing qigong exercises.My father and I have been kept apart and my only contact with him has been limited to a few letters, which are monitored by prison guards. My dad is an innocent man and has always been a loving and kind person, who even encourages me from his jail cell.As a daughter, it is my responsibility to speak out for him, and I ask from the bottom of my heart for your support in securing his release. Please sign the petition, write to your congressmen, and pass the word around. This grassroots effort can have a huge impact if each of us takes one step forward.
