    Yes, it’s for real. From 5 gallon containers to 42 gallon barrels to 55 gallon drums, people are taking vegetable oil to put in their diesel vehicles.

      my friend at dartmouth toured the country a few summers ago on the 'big green bus' powered by veggie oil - promoting alternative fuels. i think middlebury and a couple other colleges have done the same.
