Palestinian rivals compete for credibility as BBC reporter is freed
JERUSALEM: Rival Palestinian factions competed for credibility in their separate fiefdoms Wednesday, with Hamas in the Gaza Strip boasting of its role in the release of a kidnapped British journalist and Fatah in the West Bank paying full salaries to most Palestinian Authority employees for the first time in more than a year.
