Verizon Seeks NYC-Wide FiOS Franchise
In response to a request for proposals from New York City, Verizon has applied for a franchise that would allow it to expand its FiOS service to all five boroughs by mid-2014. Currently, Time Warner Cable is the city’s largest cable company, providing service in Manhattan, Staten Island, Queens and some of Brooklyn.
