  • interesting stuff! i wonder if these sun spots have any effect on Earth's environment? they knock out some radio transmissions. and maybe more? excerpt from the underlying BBC article: "Over the past few hundred years, there has been a steady increase in the numbers of sunspots, a trend that has accelerated in the past century, just at the time when the Earth has been getting warmer. The data suggests that changing solar activity is influencing in some way the global climate causing the world to get warmer."
    • remember the video that has been posted, the one with the scientist, it was about an hour long, i could look for it, but i'm sure you remember and there was the one scientist, the sun spot specialist... and he was 100% sure that the sun spots were heating up the earth. global warming is going to be the hottest topic for the next year or two.
      • "hottest" topic is right. i reposted that BBC video earlier tonight . . . the old link went dead for some reason.
