    Messi should've been given the chance to do this during the last World Cup! It's a pity that Argentina's coach felt Messi could wait & do his thing during the next cycle. Behind C. Ronaldo, he is a favorite of mine to watch. He's got a keen sense of how to elude every body that's around him- C. ronaldo doesn't quite have that 360 degree sense- not yet at least. Perhaps that's because of Messi's small physique- unlike C.R'.s.

      amazing. the same happened maradonna in 1978 - the coach felt he was too young at 17. argentina ended up winning the world cup anyway. in 1982, maradonna got sent off against brazil (i think) for kicking someone in the balls, i recall.....
