So, so...so.. mean. It's hard for me to think of words that describe the actions depicted here. If there is anything comforting to me about seeing these clip though, it was the reminder that many of our troops actions in Iraq are directly opposite. My friend Cpl. Peter W. Schmidt was killed in Iraq by an IED on Nov 13th 2007. His favorite part of being over there was seeing the enjoyment on the faces of children when they were greeted by Peter's patrol. Peter wrote in one of his last emails that he carried over 100 pens with him at any one time to hand out to children that he met in the neighborhoods. Books were also cherished, he saw literature as a means to a different future for the children, He sad that if the children were reading, it eas less time that they were working on bombs to blow them up.
