End of Summer BluesFest, Frederick, MD Sept. 13th
Note: Small Angels Rescue is holding their 1st Annual End-of-Summer BluesFest at Rose Hill Farm in Middletown. There will be live music by the Hard Swimmin’ Fish, food by Canapes Catering, and raffle prizes from regional businesses.

Western Maryland Half Marathon, Saturday Oct. 11th
Note: The objective of this event is not only to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity of Washington County and its on-going mission to provide safe, decent and affordable housing in our community, but also to promote the scenic beauty and natural resources of Western Maryland, physical health and wellness, and environmental awareness.

Man Arrested Near Capitol After IED, Rifle, Ammunition Allegedly Found in Jeep
Note: A man is under arrest in Washington after an improvised explosive device, a rifle and some ammunition were allegedly found in his jeep, Capitol Police said Friday.

Gauley River Festival ~ September 19th-21st ~ Summersville, WV
Note: Gauley Fest just keeps getting bigger and better! Started in 1983 to celebrate the derailment of a hydro-electric project that would have disrupted the flows on the Gauley River, Gauley Fest has grown to become the largest river festival in the world.
