For 9 Bucks You Can Do Whatever You Want to a Rental Car
Note: This is a classic section of Cky2k where the guys fork over that horrible 9 dollar a day insurance fee to take one lucky rental car to hell and back. Credit to Bam Margera for a clever and costly way to do serious destruction before MTV was footing the bill.

McCain chooses Alaska Governor Palin as vice president - 3rd Update
Note: Washington - Republican presidential hopeful John McCain announced little-known Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his vice presidential candidate on Friday, a choice that brings strong conservative credentials to the ballot. Palin, 44, was a surprise pick because of her low profile in national politics. But her addition to the ticket could help McCain win the support of the Republican right that has been skeptical of his candidacy. "I found someone with an outstanding reputation for standing up to special interests and entrenched bureaucracies," McCain said during the announcement at a rally in Dayton, Ohio.

Putin Asserts Link Between U.S. Election and Georgia War
Note: Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said Thursday that he had reason to think U.S. personnel were in the combat zone during the recent war in Georgia, adding that if confirmed, their presence suggested "someone in the United States" provoked the conflict to help one of the candidates in the American presidential race.
