YouTube: Why The Fun is Officially Over
Note:
From measures to catch copyrighted content, to sponsored channels, shilling and blatant gaming of the system, YouTube isn’t what it used to be.
It seems the YouTube party might not go on forever, with the AP releasing a speculative piece that the site’s copyright protection system, which will launch by the end of the year, could damage its popularity. Meanwhile, Fortune is wondering how they’ll continue to run YouTube as an edgy independent site, avoiding any crossover with Google Video. And with commercial interests playing a bigger role, it seems to me that the honeymoon is over.

Twango is YouTube for Everything
Note:
The latest addition to the media-sharing space is Twango, a new service by former Microsoft employees that lets you upload photos, videos, and audio to share with the world. Just like YouTube, media is grouped into ?channels? and you can organize the content using social filters like ?most popular?, ?most recent?, ?most commented?, ?most favorited? and ?most shared?. There?s tagging, too, and the ability to explore a member?s files using an AJAX-powered timeline.
