Note: Niseko is a geographical magnet for weather systems delivering snow storms from the Siberian Peninsula and after filling with moisture on their way across the Sea of Japan these massive fronts collide and Hanazono in Niseko is the first place in their path dumping up to 16 metres of snow in a season...

Hanazono Niseko Hokkaido Half Pipe Championships
Note: State of the art and being a FISS homologated event, strict guidelines have been met in the shaping and cutting of the pipe in Hanazono Niseko Japan. Following the Kissmark Cup this event has proven extreme physical talent in all competitors. Only open to SAJ and FISS members, spectators like us have surely been impressed with the provision and skill that so far has taken place.

Cool n Funky Cafe Kaku near Niseko
Note: Just near Niseko in Kutchan is the tastiest coffee,pizza's and cheesecake around townwith a chillaxed Homely atmosphere. Not only is the food great but Shukin is a local legend, Katana expert and ex Buddist monk.... :P

Pop Art Manga Fusion
Note: Larissa draws inspiration from lots of sources around me, be that movies, popular culture or my picturesque friends. Once a subject is picked she likes to take it to a level of improbable cartoonish perfection of Barbie dolls or manga characters. Larissa never wanted to be a Barbie doll herself, mainly because she did not fancy knees that bent backwards, but she always loved the look of the exaggerated perfect hyper reality she embodied.

Note: Training Kendo & using a Katana are all part of the daily training ritual that these students go through with their 83 yr old Master.
