Michael Moore skips box office, film heads straight to Net
Note: Filmmaker Michael Moore plans to bypass movie theaters with the debut of his new film, Slacker Uprising. The movie will instead be offered online as a free thank-you to his fans, after which it will be sold on DVD. With more filmmakers experimenting with online distribution lately, major studios may be tempted to try it out too.
