Creepy Racist Anti-Obama Letter Sent to Clarendon, VA Residents
Note: The unsigned screed accuses (presumably white) neighbors who are outwardly supporting Barack Obama for president of only liking the candidate due to some inner need to prove to people that they are not racist.

Catoctin Colorfest Arts and Crafts Show, Thurmont MD October 11-12
Note: The 45th annual Catoctin Colorfest will be held on October 11 & 12, 2008. Over 350 juried arts and crafts will be exhibited in two areas in the Town of Thurmont.

Rock Creek Park Trailwork Trip October 25
Note: Our final worktrip of the year-- don't miss your last chance to join us in 2008! A volunteer appreciation picnic will follow this trip. Please contact Alex Sanders for more information about the picnic. We will meet at the Nature Center just south of Military Road at 8:20 AM and will carpool over to the worksite. PATC and the NPS will provide all tools and instruction.
