Parenting Styles - Assertive or Permissive
Note: As children develop and grow, moving from their younger years and into the teenaged years between twelve and twenty years of age, parents have to decide on parenting in an assertive style or permissiv e style. Assertive is a much better route to take in parenting. Better for the child, the parent and the entire family.

Note: There are many diet plans available and the Internet has spawned even more to choo se from than anyone had access to in the past. From my personal experience, there is one general diet plan that works best for me but I always felt that while the diet plan I prefer works, it could still be better and more effective.

Note: The vast majority of people will experience back pain in one form or another during their life time. And the best treatment for back pain, both acute and chronic, is prevention. The sad truth is t hat once you develop chronic back pain there is only so much that doctors or therapists can do. Women's activist groups and artists are very upset about recent laws passed by various levels of the Indonesian government. Exotic Fruits of Asia - Buni - Associated Content
Note: Another of the many exotic and unusual fruits of Asia is the Buni. The Buni grows in bunches with most coming ripe at the same time on each individual branch. It is a favorite of children in rural villages because of the sweet and sour taste, much as children in America like the powder of Kool-Aid b efore it is made into a drink. Older citizens use the Buni in grilled fish recipes. Unfortunately, in some areas, the Buni is becoming quite rare. The tree that bears the fruit can grow to be quite tall, up to 12 meters. Trees bear per year anywhere from 15 to 20 bushels in even intervals over a sixty day period. This occurs only once a year, even in the tropics.

Note: Information from the latest World Health Organization technical report on chronic diseases, nutrition and diets, states the average individual could reduce the probability of stroke by 20% and probabi lity of heart disease by 15% by doing one simple thing. That is to reduce the amount of salt or sodium eaten each day by three grams. This means a reduction of salt or sodium intake daily by just slightly more than one-half teaspoon. How can a person achieve this amount of daily sodium intake reduction? Proper food choice is the key.

Sweet Onion & Sweet Potato Soup Recipe
Note: This is a great recipe that is another updated family recipe. This was originally the onion and potato soup my grandmother loved to make for us at the start of winter time. The recipe has been modernized some what and turmeric added due to the health benefits it provides.

In This Economic Downturn, Will the Truly Poor Be Forgotten?
Note: Often in bad economic times, those persons that were living below the poverty level, even when times were good, almost become invisible. As one middle class family after another slips below the poverty level, the pressure on safety net services provided by governments becomes so intense that those already hurting get pushed out and suffer even more.
