Hot air balloon in training
Note:
Despite the bouts of nausea that has caused me to be pretty much constantly horizontal from the hours of 11 am til 3 pm, I cannot stop eating. I'll lay down on the couch for a few minutes so the "Just swallowed some Drano" feeling goes away, and as soon as I get up I'm STARVING.

The birth of what could possibly be the bane of my existence
Note:
This post feels to me much like a first date - I'm feeling slightly nervous. I'd like to make a good impression and not lose your interest by the time you get a quarter of the way through... Plus, I know that in a few more sentences, I’m going to feel quite a bit more comfortable with the present situation. At this point, I'm going to start babbling on and on about when I met Damien Rice, or about how much I adore Jenny Lewis and how The Best Moment Ever In My Life was when she was standing three feet away and looked directly at me and smiled At Me right before she went on stage with M. Ward at Bonnaroo, or about how The Elephant 6 Collective has spawned some of the greatest bands in histor... rambling. There I go. Apparently it is inevitable.

More irony than a box of Total
Note:
What I'm talking about is the recent debate about "hipster parents" and the media's apparent lack of faith in the parenting skills of those of us raised in the "X Generation" or the "MTV Generation", whatever you prefer to call it. Now, I wouldn't exactly call myself a hipster, but I have some hipster traits. And this is probably why I tend to side with them a little more on this issue.

Guess what? You all get to do this with me!

Your Pregnancy: 7 Weeks
How your baby's growing:
Your baby still appears to have a small tail (actually, it's an extension of his tailbone), which will disappear in the next few weeks. But that's the only thing getting smaller. Now almost half an inch long — roughly the size of a raspberry — he has elbow joints and distinct, slightly webbed fingers and toes.

"There are two things in life for which we are never truly prepared: Twins."
Note:
In 8 months I will be the proud father of two black splotches! That's right people! Two embriotic sacs, two placentas, two heartbeats! We're having twins!
Emily and I had our first sonogram today at 2:30. I was nervous and excited going in, but I had no idea how much our lives were really about to change. The sonographer started the process and almost immediately we picked out what was, for sure, our baby. She began asking us about our lives and we told her we have a 4 year old daughter at home. She smiled and said "How'd you like to have two more?"

First Post, Here Comes The Backstory
Note:
My name is Jason Crabtree. This blog tells the story of my life, from the time I met Emily, the amazing woman who would become my wife, and her beautiful 4-year-old daughter, Peyton. We currently live in Baltimore, MD. We have a little female beagle named Kitty and two male cats, Lodi and Jack. I am the IT (Idiot Training) specialist for a home builder in Crofton, MD. Together, Emily and I are starting a new life. This blog is my way of bragging about it.

Those Memories Will Never Go Away
Note:
So last night when Emily got home, I told her that I decided to start over on this website. She was surprised. The first thing she said was "What about all of those memories?" Well, it's not that I want to forget those things that I wrote about, I just want to tell the story better. This time it's going to be more focused and prioritized.
