Home Improvement Tax Credits Are Part of EESA 2008
Note: Making home improvements? Claim your tax credit. The EESA 2008 extends the tax credit for energy-efficient purchases in 2009, and adds wood pellet stoves as a new class of eligible energy efficient property.

Tax Delay Fails to Quell Iranian Protest
Note: TEHRAN — A strike in Iran’s traditional bazaars expanded on Sunday despite an order by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to suspend a new tax on sales that ignited the protest more than a week ago. The main entrance to the Grand Bazaar in Tehran was closed, as major traders like carpet and textile merchants joined the jewelers, who had started the strike in Tehran. The strike continued in the traditional bazaars in several other large cities, including Isfahan, where it erupted first on Oct. 4.

Petition to Recall Georgia Senators Isakson and Chambliss - The Petition Site
Note: Georgia law allows citizens to petition to recall senators. This is a petition to recall the senators that voted yes for the bailout ( H.R. 1424) even after receiving thousands of communications from the American people not to. This is supposed to be the people's government. Senators Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson voted yes even as the people screamed no. Take a stand and have your voice heard! This is YOUR government, not theirs!
