Note: Oil prices shed nearly $4 Wednesday, tumbling below $125 a barrel for the first time since early June on growing fears that high prices and the weak economy are destroying demand

Note: What a lot of loosers --- this is my suggestion --It is all very well for the IRI to spend money and get you to go and protest against WAR - which is a noble cause BUT - what do you say about this ---" Nine face stoning death in Iran - At least eight women and one man are reported to have been sentenced to death by stoning in Iran. -BBC 7/20/08 " - Would you like to go on the streets and protest about this bit of barbarism too? I suggest going straight to Tehran with a long piece of rope and stinging all the Fascist Mullah Mafia's of The NON - ISLAMIC. bloody NON REPUBLICAN, OF INVADERS OF IRAN and hanging them from the Pahlavi avenue's trees...How about it folks ---any volunteers?

Note: Playing the drums for a rock band requires the stamina of a Premiership footballer, research suggests. Tests on Clem Burke, the veteran Blondie drummer, revealed that 90 minutes of drumming could raise his heart rate to 190 beats a minute.

Iran: New Arrests Target Student Activists
Note: Source: International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran - (23 July 2008) Security and intelligence agents are engaged in an extensive campaign of arbitrary detentions targeting student activists around the country, the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran said today. During the past two weeks, the authorities have detained more than twenty students, seventeen of whom remain in detention. These detentions coincided with the anniversary of massive student protests on 8 July 1999.

IRI Barbarians' Parliament Moves To Approve Polygamy, Over Iranian Women's Protests
Note: An Iranian parliamentary committee has approved in the first reading a controversial draft law that allows men to take a second wife, a bill that women's rights activists have dubbed the "Antifamily Bill." The fierce debate on the bill highlights rising social tensions in Iran, where the hard-line government of President Mahmud Ahmadinejad is increasingly targeting women's rights activists. The bill, officially known as the Bill to Protect the Family, has been on the table in parliament for years, the subject of seemingly endless revision and debate. The controversial clause that gives men the right to have another spouse without the first wife's approval was actually laid aside by the previous parliament because of strong opposition from women's rights activists.
