Note: FTP:The award spotlights Biden's congressional leadership in supporting working families through legislation, and for employing family-friendly policies in his own office. Biden says that as a parent and grandparent, he understands the challenges facing American families. ---------------------------- I couldn't get the video to work on this page though, but I did want to bring out the statement.

Note: This is a ling article - Haleh Afshar, Elaheh Rostami, Ziba Mir Hosseini, CASMII's Abbas Edalat and Rostam Poorzal, UK's Socialist Workers Party and other defenders of the Islamic Republic are slammed by Iran's student activists in this article: http://www.advarnews.us/article/7553.aspx A particular point of contention in the article is the audacious claims by the likes of Elaheh Rostami and Ziba Mir-Hossein that Iranian women are better off now than before the revolution!- From the article: 'While they compare the status of Iranian women with their counterparts in other Islamic countries like Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and some Persian Gulf countries, they forget that these countries did not even exist when the Iranian women were given the right to vote. Even when comparing with other Islamic countries, they selectively forget other Islamic countries like Turkey, Tunisia, Morocco and Malaysia' The article finishes by claiming 'under the pretence of wanting to stop the war, these traitors purposefully endeavour to damage Iran's civil movement including the student movement'

Michael Shaw: Reading The Pictures: The McCain Buffalo Chip (Un-)Cover-Up
Note: FPT: "Only the wildly hypocritical McCain could have made the scene at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally at the Buffalo Chip campground in Sturgis, S.D. and escaped any blowback from the wild debauchery and female exploitation that characterized the event. And, as an act of collusion, the media totally blinked, particularly the visual media. " ~~~~~I only heard about a 30-second blurb about this on Big Media - and look at what they're doing to Edwards now. McCain actually recommended his wife for a topless contest and Big Media said nothing. I wonder if anyone really cares what the Big Media does to run elections, ruin people, and censor what they think they should hear. Good photos here.

Note: It may be about time to dig out that old library card. Hoping to draw back readers, libraries have vastly expanded their lists of digital books, music, and movies that can be downloaded by their patrons to a computer or MP3 player -- and it doesn't cost a cent, unlike, say, media from Apple Inc'siTunes or Amazon.com Inc.
