Rumor: New Mac Mini Stuffed With Up to 1TB Storage
Note: More evidence that the new Mac minis are at least partly geared toward the cheap server market: SeeFile dropped their press release pimping support of the "new Apple Mac Mini hardware" just a little early. They specifically mention a complete bundled system with a "Mac mini server with 1 terabyte of storage."

10 Free Music Based Games for the iPhone & iPod Touch
Note: Music-based games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band have become wildly popular, so it only makes sense that similar games are being created for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Both devices have a plethora of gaming apps, but only a handful of those are free and based around music.

Hustler Hires Media Protector to Chase Online Porn Pirates
Note: Hustler Europe, part of the worlds largest adult entertainment company, has hired anti-piracy company Media Protector to start chasing down file-sharers. The partnership will have a familiar aim - to find alleged infringers on P2P networks and send them threats to pay up - or else.

Trojan Blocks The Pirate Bay and Mininova
Note: A new trojan popped up at several torrent sites a few weeks ago, one that blocks access to The Pirate Bay and Mininova, while informing its victims that downloading is wrong. The trojan edits the hosts file on Windows machines, and redirects the BitTorrent sites to localhost, making them impossible to load.

Treasure Hunter Claims Google Maps Treasure Find
Note: A treasure hunter testified in a Texas courtroom Tuesday that he used Google Maps to locate a shipwreck. 39-year-old musician and filmmaker from Los Angeles has been fighting representatives of an estate in Refugio County, Texas, for the right to excavate.

Note: Heres an example of a story coming full circle: Amazon invests in BillMeLater, BillMeLater is added as a payment option on Amazon, eBay buys BillMeLater, and today, Amazon pulls the plug on BillMeLater. The service, which lets shoppers buy stuff online without a credit card, will no longer be offered as a payment option by Amazon in the New Year.
