Note: One can argue quite easily that the quagmire that is Iraq, the Iranian ‘threat’, the failed Israeli peace-accords, the Taiwan / China defiance, and so on and so forth are results of the contradictions in the U.S. foreign policy across multiple administrations since World War II. If it didn’t sound so ludicriously conspiratorial it might appear as if U.S. foreign policy is dictated by the amount of arms we can sell and damn the consequences.

Note: Now that Senator Barack Hussein Obama has stuck his timid little toe into the political pool, of reporter bile and blogger spite, the gloves are off and look how quickly the press has turned on the golden boy … the poor chap!

Jihad Preached in Moderate British Mosques. America Next?
Note: British Channel 4 Television’s investigative reporting program ‘Dispatches’ broadcast a documentary earlier this week entitled ‘Undercover Mosque’. The resulting maelstorm has yet to be felt - few media sources seem willing or able to pick up the crux of the story - the serreptitous hatred of western values and society taught in supposedly moderate mosques throughout England. Is the hatred taught also in U.S. mosques?

Hugo Ch?z Uniting the World Against America
Note: Isn’t it wonderful how the mighty mainstream media in the U.S. aids and comforts the nation’s blissful ignorance of so many growing threats around the world? Every once in a while a cable news network might fly up a scary graphic headline supported by old news footage, some scary sound effects and a dreadfully serious anchorperson will introduce the latest threat to the nation with credible passion and great zeal. On rolls the over-used former ambassador, has-been political hack, and retired military general or zany political wonk with a new book to flog. The segment will last for five minutes and onto the story about an alligator in a Florida swimming pool or updates from week five of the Trump-O’Donnell petty squabble. Easily digested news and easily forgotten. No wonder the nation is taken to ignoring the growing ensemble of global threats! The White House is accused of more scare-tactics and the focus returns to the Superbowl.

What's Eating President Putin?
Note: Whilst the U.S. media continues its obsession with Donald Trump and Rosie O’Donnell - the world continues to spin. In Europe however - there appears considerably less ’spin’ and plenty more shudder! Russia has been flexing its economic muscle over former Soviet countries and a significant portion of the European Union. Its weapon? The supply and price of Russian Natural Gas and Oil. Mother Russia supplies the majority of the natural gas and crude oil supplies of a significant number of European countries including - no less - the industrial power-house Germany!

If You Were Ahmadinejad ?Wouldn? You Go Nuclear?
Note: Some fascinating news reports and opinion pieces have been published today in various tags about Iran’s faltering oil industry and the nation’s unsustainable demand for energy. A mixed bag of conclusions are made about the success (or lack) of trade sanctions against Iran, the nuclear standoff, and various fluffy next step assumptions. This is fine and dandy but where we (in the West) frequently fail is in our inability to put ourselves in the shoes of the Mullah in Iran. They just don’t fit our flavor of society and our taste for democracy. Oh, and they’re evil - but as a side, of course! This is true of the negligent assumptions made by the Bush Administration, the intelligence services and MacDonalds about the appetite for fast-food products in Baghdad and it is equally true of the West’s handling of Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Note: U.S. military admits the Saddam execution would have been done differently had handling of the execution been foreseen.
