Universal Promotes DVDs Through Mobile Clips
Note: Universal Studios Home Entertainment has started giving mobile phone users a sneak peek at DVD bonus features in an effort to boost DVD sales. Starting with a behind-the-scenes clip from next week’s release of “Heroes: Season 2,” Universal is making clips available to AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon customers by texting a code on their phones.

Note: Facebook is introducing a way for its members to comment on ads that appear on the site, according to the company’s director of monetization, Tim Kendall. In addition, Facebook is looking into things like advertiser-branded virtual gifts and a way for friends’ actions on fan pages to be distributed in a news feed.
