David & Layla - EmergencyUSA-DC Event 8/7/07 @ Shirlington AMC Theater
Note: Emergency USA DC group joined with Jay Jonroy, the writer, director, and producer of David & Layla, to promote awareness of EmergencyUSA's mission and activities around the world to provide life support for civilian war victims. Since the movie's main character, the real Layla, is an Iraqi Kurd and the movie provides information about the Halabja massacre and the fact that Jay Jonroy is Kurdish and EmergencyUSA has been active in Iraqi-Kurdistan for a long time it was the perfect match-up to celebrate and create awareness of each others work.
