Redskins, Ravens Stadiums to Roll Out New Fan Communications System
Note: With the NFL season set to kick off, fans of the Washington Redskins and Baltimore Ravens now will have a new high-tech means to communicate with stadium security, medical and guest services officials. Washington's FedEx Field and Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium will be two of at least nine NFL venues rolling out a new text-messaging communications system called GuestAssist.

Travel Insurance
Note: You know how your mother always tells you to wear clean under wear in case you’re in an accident, that’s kind of what travel insurance is like. You have to have it just in case because should something unfortunate happen (cross your fingers, turn in a circle three times to the left and spit on your right shoe for luck) you are really going to want to be covered for it.

Report: Hulu a More Successful Business Than YouTube
Note: Online video ad network LiveRail (our profile) has just released a 'State Of The Industry Report' for Q3 2008. It reports that video ad spending currently only represents 2.36% of all online advertising, but that it is expected to grow over 55% next year. Right now only 20.95% of internet video streams are being monetized. LiveRail also noted that NBC's online Olympics coverage failed to monetize well, however Hulu.com is doing good business.

Ski Opening 2008 - Zell am See Karpun Glacier
Note: The charming Zell am See, one of the most beautiful ski resorts in Austria, is the perfect place in December to peacefully wander through the different Christmas markets scattered around the village, and to start a long-awaited for new ski season. Mountain enthusiasts can even go ski on the glacier of Kitzsteinhorn – Kaprun, which is just few minutes away by car or bus.

Ticket sites blamed for insane NFL prices
Note: Today in New York, my driver was not happy. He is a New York Giants fan. The new NFL season begins tomorrow, with the Giants hosting the Washington Redskins. Despite being on the waiting list for season tickets since 1984, Tony has given up hope of ever buying a ticket.

Gap Widens in Online Advertising (WSJ)
Note: Spending on Internet advertising is climbing at a healthy clip -- rising 20% in the U.S. in the second quarter -- and growth forecasts are strong despite the weak economy. But that growth isn't being enjoyed by everyone. The gap is widening between spending on simple search ads, Google Inc.'s core turf, and spending on flashier display ads.

Dr. Lloyd Miller Playing Persian Instruments 1960s and 1970s
Note: For the non-Persian viewers, this is the traditional Persian music with the traditional instruments. Dr. Lloyd Miller plays various instruments during these clips and I must say he has done an amazing job of it too.

Note: During the last year, Google has built a 40-person group that is charged with courting agencies, trying to persuade them that their clients should buy ads on Google sites and use the search engine's tools.
