Comet may have doomed mammoth
Note: ACAPULCO, Mexico -- There's a new extraterrestrial suspect in the mysterious, highly debated disappearance of the woolly mammoth some 12,900 years ago. A team of two dozen scientists say the culprit was likely a comet that exploded in the atmosphere above North America.

Pensioners with attitude!
Note: The latest created band is a bit different - it's a group of pensioners called The Zimmers. Bringing back life to the elderly, band members include 90 year old lead singer Alf and 100 year old Buster. They've just released a hit single - a cover version of The Who's My Generation.

Thailand: Death toll of Thursday attacks is 21 : army spokesman
Note: The army suffered a great loss after suspected insurgents bombed and killed 11 army rangers in Yala on Thursday night, Army spokesman Akara Tiprote said on Friday. Eleven soldiers were killed on Thursday night when a powerful roadside bomb exploded in Bannang Sata district shortly before 10pm.

Japan: Kikkoman recalls food ingredient products over radiation fears+

Woman on oxygen machine dies after power cut: family
Note: Wellington - A New Zealand woman on an oxygen machine died shortly after a power company cut the electricity supply to her home over an unpaid bill, family members said Wednesday. The alarm on her machine went off after a contractor cut the supply Tuesday to the South Auckland home of mother-of-four Folole Muliaga, 44.

Thailand: Constitution Tribunal orders Thai Rak Thai to be dissolved
Note: The Constitution Tribunal ruled that the Thai Rak Thai did not have enough political ideology to remain as a political party and had committed wrongdoings warranting dissolution. The tribunal found that the Thai Rak Thai-led government dissolved the House to help its party leader Thaksin Shinawatra over his personal problems.
