Microsoft Introduces Search Perks
Note: Following the successful launch of its Cashback program which gives shoppers money back for every product they purchase via Live Search. Microsoft has introduced incentives for people who simply use the search engine. According to data from Hitwise, Cashback traffic accounted for 3.8% of Live.com’s traffic in mid-July. That figure climbed to more than 6% by mid-September.

Court Orders RealDVD Sales To Stop
Note: NewTeeVee reports that a court has ordered RealNetworks to temporarily suspend distribution of its controversial RealDVD product until Tuesday so that the judge can review all of the papers filed in the case, according to an email from a RealNetworks representative.

Note: MySpace has announced that its new MySpace Music service streamed a billion songs since its launch on Sept. 25. In a statement, the Web site said, “We’re extremely pleased with the launch of MySpace Music clearly our users around the world are engaged and excited about the new music experience on MySpace.”
