Note: Giant Realm has signed representation deals with the irreverent film site Movie Moron, the “geekish” and obscure movie site Geek Tyrant and the game news and information site Videogaming247. Giant Realm now attracts nine million visitors in the U.S. each month.

Hulu Streaming Next Two Presidential Debates Live
Note: The News Corp.-NBC Universal joint venture Hulu will go live for the first time since it launched a year ago. Hulu will stream the presidential debates tonight and on Oct. 15 via the site’s on-demand service.

Melodis Raises $7 Million For Music Discovery
Note: San Jose-based Melodis has raised $7 million to boost its Midomi Web site and mobile service that allows users to play a recorded song or snippet of it they can sing on their own, and match that song with similar songs out of a library of more than 17 million tunes.

Pandora Gets A Boost From IPhone Users
Note: According to Pandora CEO Tim Westergreen, the iPhone has enabled the Internet music site to double its growth rate. He said that the Apple phone users now account for 1.5 million of Pandora’s 17 million users doubling Pandora’s growth rate from 20,000 to 40,000+ new users a day.

Time Warner Cable Shows How To Get Free TV
Note: Recently, Time Warner Cable has been urging its customers to use Hulu and other ad-supported Web TV sites and watch them on their TV sets. The Los Angeles Times reports that Time Warner is offering a quick video tutorial on how to connect a PC or laptop to a TV set.
