Comcast Places Limit On Subscriber Bandwidth
Note:
Effective Oct. 1, Comcast will limit its broadband subscribers to 250 gigabytes of data per month. That amount, according to Multichannel, equals roughly 62,500 digital songs. According to Comcast, the cap is “much more than a typical residential customer uses on a monthly basis.” In fact, the median monthly usage by those customers is about two to three gigabytes.

Following Olympics, Microsoft And Adobe Face Off
Note:
The Olympics gave Microsoft an important opportunity to build up its base of Silverlight video software users via MSN and NBCOlympics.com. Now a battle for Web video supremacy could be under way, as Microsoft faces off against Adobe Systems’ heavily used Flash technology. Microsoft has plans to extend its reach to close the gap with Flash, which powers an estimated 80% of the video on the Internet.
